Covid-19 Impact

2021 SEASON UPDATE

Updated on 3/11/21 at 9am

Each summer, thousands of community members come together to enjoy the breadth of arts experiences that make up the Ann Arbor Summer Festival (A2SF) season. The pandemic has forced us all to adapt, and this summer we’ll be bringing the Festival “on the road” throughout our community.

We are moving forward with another expanded, adapted season. Unfortunately, the traditional activities at Top of the Park on Ingalls Mall and indoor ticketed events will not take place this summer. While we are disappointed that we have to wait until 2022 before seeing you at Top of the Park, we are excited to share our first two anchor programs of the 2021 season:

  • Tiny TOPs: Intimate concerts you can reserve for yourself or gift to a friend. Beginning in May, choose from a roster of 20 artists and select a time for that artist to play at an outdoor location of your choice.
  • Live Here Now: Pop-up concerts and events that will take place in outdoor spaces throughout Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.

Organizing experiences throughout Washtenaw County will allow us to better manage crowd sizes and safety protocols while bringing arts experiences to more members of the community. A2SF renews our commitment to creating ways for our community to safely come together in-person. Stay tuned for our full season announcement in May and follow us on social media.

We are grateful to so many community members and businesses who made or increased their annual gifts this year. Thank you for your investment in A2SF and for helping us adapt during this pandemic. Your gift is important, no matter the amount. If you can do so, please consider making a gift to the Festival now.

As our community enters the final stretch of the pandemic, please stay connected with us, share your ideas, and get involved.

We look forward to seeing you this summer,
