A2SF & The Ark present Kishi Bashi (duo)

June 25, 2021

Kishi Bashi is the pseudonym of singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Kaoru Ishibashi. Born in Seattle, Washington, Ishibashi grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, and attended the cross-genre musical hotbed of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied film music composition. The music this unique musician makes now reflect the many aspects of his background, including film scores; classical violin; the electronic rock he pursued as a member of the New York band Jupiter One; and another band he joined, the Athens, Georgia, indie rock group Of Montreal. His live show often includes violin and vocal loops, beatboxing, and original compositions.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 21, at 10am EDT. Limited tickets are available at $25, $75, and $125. Premium tickets at the $125 and $75 patron levels put concert-goers closer to the stage and include a tax-deductible contribution in support of both The Ark and A2SF. Should weather force a cancellation, respective concerts will be broadcast live from The Ark with an exclusive streaming link provided to ticket-holders.

Audience capacity is limited and events will utilize safety protocols that follow all applicable laws, local guidelines and national best practice. This includes but is not limited to those guidelines regarding social distancing and face masks that are in place at the local and/or state level at the time of the shows.
